Happy Mother's Day to All of the Wonderful Mothers in My Life!!!
I had an AWESOME Mother's Day...and was spoiled rotten by my boys...but for some silly reason, we never got the camera out!!! So, that means-no pictures of Hayden and I on Mother's Day...bummer! I mentioned this to Jason tonight, and his idea was to just take some of us tonight (Monday) and "pretend" that they were taken yesterday-brilliant man I married, eh?!?
Instead of doing that, I thought I'd post a some pictures of a few of my favorite mother and child combos for you to enjoy...
*sidenote* Of course I couldn't get ALL of my favorite moms on here-but I just wanted to share a few...
Happy Mother's Day to ALL of you amazing Moms!!!
Reward...COOKIE TIME!!
Jason Opening His wii!!!
So, Jason's 30th birthday is on Wednesday (mark your calendars!!), and after talking to my friend Leslie, I came up with the perfect gift idea...A Wii!!! What 30 year old DOESN'T need a gaming system!?!?!? Hey...it keeps us young...don't judge!
Anyway, I decided since we're leaving for Cali on Thursday, I'd try to talk him in to opening it early so that we'd have a chance to play before we leave-and SURPRISE!!! it worked!! At first he didn't seem overly thrilled-but it turns out that he was just trying to ACT surprised-I had blown it as I do every time I get him a present. Turns out he LOVES it, and it's going to be a challenge to keep him OFF of it!!! I have to admit though, it IS fun!!!
Happy 30th Baby!!!
Health Update...
Okay, so as most of you know, we found out on Friday that Hayden has asthma as well as allergies. Nothing unmanagable, but still...very sad that our baby has to suffer thru all of this. He's dealing like a champ though, and we're SO proud of him!!! Every day he has to take breathing treatments from a nebulizer-at least twice. The breathing treatments help tremendously with his wheezing, and as much as it breaks our hearts to see our little man with that mask on his face, we know that it's the best thing for him. Along with the nebulizer, Dr. Morris also prescribed some allergy meds and they seem to be helping with the never-ending faucet attached to his face...aka his runny nose. He still sounds very horse, which we're assuming is caused by the drainage down his throat and his cough (also caused by the drainage), so even listening to him talk is heart wrenching. On the flip side-I think he's starting to improve. He seems to have more energy and the length between breathing treatments is increasing. I called his pediatrician today to update her, and am still waiting to hear something back. I will be sure to keep you all posted as we learn more. Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes. Hayden is a very lucky little boy to be loved by so many people!!!
Date Night
Every Friday night we have a Morehead Date Night-this consists of the 3 of us going out for dinner someplace kid-friendly and then running a few errands together. It gives Mommy a night off from cooking and lets us all spend some quality time together. I look forward to it all week long, and from the looks of it-so do the boys!! Aren't they handsome!?!?!
Smiling is an Art...
Getting an increasingly busy ALMOST 2 year old to actually look at the camera AND smile is becoming more and more difficult...it's not that he doesn't know what I'm asking him to do...he just doesn't want to do it...ahhh...the terrible 2's are firmly planted on my doorstep!!!
Sooo...when I actually get my handsome little guy to cooperate, I have to share...and to me...eye contact and a smile equals a beautiful work of art!
