Sick Baby Girl
Well, I thought Jack's flu was too easy. Sure enough, it all began yesterday for Miss Reagan. And now we're rapidly approaching the 48 hour mark, and she's still not keeping breast milk down. I took her to the doctor tonight-and she's dehydrated. Soooo...we came home and she downed 4 ounces of pedialite...and....knock on wood...she's keeping it down and is sound asleep. Here's to SLEEP for ALL of us...even Jason in Des Moines.

Girlie Girl
All Dressed Up
My kiddos are rarely dressed in anything but their "comfy clothes"...but Hayden had his Pre-k Christmas program this day...so they were all dressed up and looking adorable. Every time I look at these, I can't get over how precious my 3 babies are! I am one lucky Mama!!!!

Daddy Laughs
So, every single year we watch Christmas Vacation-at least once. And every single time we watch, Jason laughs THIS hard. I caught him during the opening scene...and I SWEAR, he had no idea I was recording him- until he mentions it. Enjoy!

Ice Cream Break
We were all hanging out in the basement watching Christmas movies, and Jackie came walking out of the toyroom carrying this baby. He brought it over to Reagan and said, "Here ya go Reagie! You can have my baby now.". Reagan grabbed her and immediately started "kissing" her. MY babies are So. Sweet.

Sad...
Okay...so this is strictly a venting post-which I typically save for Facebook or conversations with my husband or friends. But. This one effects the kids, so I thought, why not.
The other day my Hayden came home from school and was SUPER excited because he got a sticker from his buddy Thayer-in fact, he brought enough for everyone. I asked Hayden if he would like to do that-take a little treat in for his friends, and he responded with: "you know Mom, I was thinking...I think I would like to bake some cookies and take them to all of my friends.". 2 thoughts immediately came to mind: 1. I have such a sweet, thoughtful little guy. And 2. Crap! I'm the world's worst cookie maker.
But, being the FABULOUS mama that I am (ha!), we checked the cabinets for the ingredients and started baking. 4 dozen cookies and a late night trip to Michael's for cute cellophane bags later, we had a festive basket of treats for his friends.
This morning Hayden couldn't wait to get to school to present the basket to Miss Julie...and let me tell you-my boy was PROUD.
Well, about an hour ago my phone rang and low and behold it was Miss Julie. I was afraid that she was calling because he was sick or hurt...but instead, she was calling to tell me that she is unable to hand the treats out because they're homemade. Apparently there is a law that says kids can't share homemade treats anymore. Wow. What a HUGE bummer. I remember when I was a kid, how fun it was when kids brought in homemade birthday treats...and I had seriously been looking forward to being "that mom"...at least occasionally. I do get it...allergies, poison, etc. But. I still don't like it, and I still think it's sad.
PS. Miss Julie knew this was the case this morning, but didn't want to crush him...which I appreciate. And. She's going to allow him to hand his treats out to the teachers-which he will love.

Hats
So, Jason has a "thing" against women in hats. He is of the opinion that very few can pull the look off...and that too many try...and fail. He is ALWAYS telling me that I cannot pull it off...but I've been DYING to buy myself a few hats anyway...and I figured since almost everyone else is failing, why not join them!?!?!? So...today I did.

Lunch
At 2 5/6, Jackson's favorite place to eat is...Subway...so, after a long morning of shopping with Mama and Sissy, I treated him to lunch! My absolute favorite part of Hayden being in school is that Jack and I get some quality time together...and our lunch dates are always the best!!!
